About Bobby

Bobby Lo is a startup founder, investor, and advisor.

As Founder and CEO of his most recent startup Vurb, Bobby introduced a new paradigm for mobile search and messaging - with Vurb winning TechCrunch Disrupt NYC in 2014 before being acquired by Snapchat two years later as their largest acquisition at that time. During his tenure at Snap as a Director of Product on the Design Team, Bobby worked closely with the CEO on various projects that would delight millions of daily users.

Bobby was also involved in two other startups: his first software company at 15, and then founding CTO of Yodle (acquired by Web.com), a search ads company. Collectively, Bobby’s startups have generated over $500M in shareholder value. Bobby was also a management consultant at BCG, specializing in the consumer, travel, and technology practices.

Currently, Bobby actively invests in startups across all stages and industries, with a portfolio of 40+ companies. Areas of interest include enterprise SaaS, healthcare, data, and consumer social. He works closely as advisor and founder coach to several startups - helping in areas such as product design, strategy, and fundraising. He is also on the Board of Directors at Sprig, a fast-growing user insights startup backed by Accel and a16z.

Bobby holds three degrees from MIT in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and Management from the Sloan School. Outside of work, he enjoys food and travel, deal hunting and loyalty points optimization, video games, and mountain biking.
